Starting from the question of whether a photographic image is capable of capturing the soul of its subject, “Book(s)” is an ongoing series created by scanning a book page by page and layering them into a single image by superimposition. By manipulating the opacity of each page, the images and texts of the book overlap and smudge into one another. Although this image is composed of the entirety of a book, we are then confronted with the irony of not being able to read it.
